Nutrition

Holistic Nutrition looks at the total person, the dietary intake including supplements and whole lifestyle.

Recognising our body’s were designed to run harmoniously, bringing about total balance, everything we do in our lifestyle has an effect on the harmony and cooperation of our bodies.

For example, when we are feeling stressed and physically and emotionally drained, our mind can automatically meet its own needs and the needs of the body at that moment. When we ignore our bodies genuine cry for rest and relaxation it will seek quick fix stimulants, irrespective of future consequences.

Quick fixes may be from sugary foods, caffeine, alcohol, etc. And, although it feels they comfort and help you lift yourself up at the time, they can aggravate stress. Stress can also have a detrimental effect on, and suppress the immune system, opening the body up to illness.

Your energy and physical well being are directly influenced by the food you eat. By making some simple changes to your diet and lifestyle, you can increase energy and relieve many health and well-being problems.

Nutrition also goes hand in hand with fitness. If you want to maintain a healthy weight and reduce risks of disease, the best approach is to eat smart and move more. When we talk of exercise, the gym is not necessarily the only answer. There are many ways to keeping fit outside of the gym. To maintain a lifestyle it has to be enjoyable. It is what works for you. Sensible regular exercise is much more beneficial to regular healthy maintenance.

Good nutritional understanding and following is also vital to sports performance. Pushing the body to its limits requires the right fuel, before during and after. Whether you are a competing athlete, a weekend sports player or a dedicated daily exerciser, the cornerstone to improved performance is a well balanced diet.

As a life coach, nutritionist and sports psychologist, I can support your individual needs. Whether you are a sports athlete looking for greater performance or someone wanting help to make those improvements for a healthier, more energetic and enthusiastic lifestyle.
